Kevin is an incredible man and a true inspiration. He was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer at the age of 49 and was giving a prognosis of just two years left to live. Not wanting to take that diagnosis lying down Kevin has thrown himself into the world of ultra marathons to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. His determination to fight this disease coupled with his positive attitude has seen him outlive his, as he would say, "best before date" and at the time of writing this he is still going strong five years after the initial diagnosis. Between his own actions and those he has inspired Kevin has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help stop Prostate Cancer being a killer.
Below are some portrait photographs I did for Kevin as he prepared to do the 6633 Arctic Ultra facing temperatures of -40 degrees, just two week later he set off to the Sahara to compete in the Marathon Des Sables in temperatures of +40 degrees.
